Oona is shown to be in shock for a few moments, in disbelief. They help out for a short period of time during the battle, but when Jessa kills the Cobalt Prince, she traps the Mimic's Heart and the fighting stops. Vector shouts that he is fighting for Oona, which implys that he might just like her. As he and the other sand dancers charge into the battle, they all shout what they are fighting for. They cross paths with Magda, going down to the lowest level of the mine, where Oona and Jessa are fighting the Cobalt Prince, controlled by the Mimic. Vector and the others run down to the mines. They are eventually broken out by General Ronak. Vector makes appearances in the Prison Camp, in Atbal- Balak.
He makes one appearance in the later chapters, while everyone is taken to the prison. The Toki capture Vector and the other Sand Dancers, along with the Queen's bones. He gets stabbed in his right leg with dark Toki sand. Meanwhile, Vector starts to sand dance, trying to light the first beacon. Oona goes onto try and exit the Castle, but it ends up getting attacked by Toki ships. They discover that the Sand Warrior has 5 Domani days to light the first Beacon. Vector first makes an appearance in Chapter 2 of The Sand Warrior(The Boy In The Mask) He and Oona go down to the Sand Castle Museum after she offers to help him.
